So I was pondering tonight with regards to the opposite in meaning of love. From a young age, I was led to believe that hatred was the opposite but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that this may not necessarily be the case.
Love and hatred are said to be passionate feelings. Therefore, from this standpoint, is it accurate to state that the word indifference may be a better term to describe the opposite in meanings of both love and hatred?
